Aloha Airlines LogoToday is the last day of service for the one of the two major island carriers of Hawaii. Aloha is saying “Aloha” to Hawaii after today. The airlines are in some major issues as oil prices continue to soar and ticket fares get very competitive! Airlines cannot operate like they did before. Unfortunately, it was too much for Aloha and service had to end today. It breaks my heart to see a carrier of 60+ years close their doors to Hawaii. Read more

The head of a congressional homeland security panel said Friday that a program to arm pilots should get more scrunity after a US Airways captain’s gun discharged last week during a flight to Charlotte.Ā
